Presentation Ideas: Fun Interview Icebreaker

Adele R. Argot, Nutrition Education Advisor, Penn State Cooperative Extension, wondered what she could do to make a class more student involved. She rolled up a piece of paper to look like a microphone, “borrowed” a student in the class and told him a can was his camera and he should “shoot” while she interviewed the others as to what fruit they would like to be if they could be any fruit they knew and why. Amid giggles and chuckles, the varied answers led us right into the fruit unit and the making of fruit parfait. And like the peach one woman wanted to be, the lesson was quite sweet.
