This delicious fruit salad is made by folding yogurt, fruit, and toasted nuts together. In ancient Greek mythology, ambrosia, the food of the gods, was often depicted as conferring ageless immortality upon whoever consumed it.

Ingredients

  • 2 apples, cored and diced
  • 1/4 cup crushed pineapple in juice, with juice
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 squirt of whipped cream – about 2 tablespoons
  • 1 tablespoon toasted almonds, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients. Cover and chill until ready to use.
  2. Serve in a glass bowl and top with more crushed pineapple and toasted almonds.

Notes

Chef's Tips:

You can also use 0% fat Greek yogurt.

It is a good idea to toast the nuts so they have a richer flavor.
