Steel Cut Oats with Apples and CherriesServes: 8 | Serving Size: 1/2 cup1 cup steel cut oats3 cups water1/2 cup dried apples, chopped1/2 cup dried cherries (pitted)Big dash of apple pie spiceDrizzle honey (1/2 tsp per person)Skim or soy milk (1/2 cup per person)Place the oats, water, dried fruit and spice into a crock pot. Cover with a lid and set to “high.” Cook for 2 hours. The oatmeal is done when the water is absorbed and the oatmeal is thick.Serve warm with milk (use 1/2 cup skim milk per person) and a little drizzle of honey.
