Happy Anniversary to MiPlato
We all remember that MyPlate's anniversary is in June, but the anniversary of MiPlato, the Spanish edition of MyPlate, can sometimes get forgotten during the back-to-school hustle and bustle. Well, here at Food and Health, we're not about to let that happen. September marks the second anniversary of MiPlato, and we're here to celebrate it!MiPlato communicates the key health messages from the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, putting these messages into easy-to-understand bits of advice. Whether it's filling half your plate with fruits and vegetables at each meal or choosing whole grains more often than refined grains, these practices can really make a difference in your overall health. If you need any Spanish language MiPlato resources, then the Nutrition Education Store has got you covered. One of my favorite posters is the MiPlato guide pictured here. It's full of great advice for each section of MiPlato, and it's colorful and engaging to boot!Another favorite MiPlato resource is the MiPlato on a Budget tearpad. This handout is bright, clear, and fun, offering an in-depth look to following MiPlato's guidelines while on a budget. The tearpad has 50 sheets of two-sided handouts. Some of its most valuable lessons include tips and tricks for navigating a grocery store to find the best deals and a closer look at food tips for big savings.Even More Spanish Language Resources:Looking for more great Spanish language resources?
