Graphic of the Month:Editor's Note:Believe it or not, the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans are just around the corner!I recently attended a MyPlate meeting in Washington, DC, with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and wow did I learn a lot! MyPlate is going to launch a new program called Start Simple. The purpose of this program is to empower people with simple steps that follow the principles of MyPlate. One great example is to always fill half your plate with fruits and veggies. We are working on great ideas and will keep you posted!Oh and if you're doing any holiday related presentations or meetings, there are tons of resources at foodandhealth.com.

And last but certainly not least, you can now save 10% off anything at the Nutrition Education Store or memberships or even classes with the code MYPLATE. Happy holidays!
