Graphic of the Month:Editor's Note:The big big deal this month is Dr. Jay's insightful exploration of the PREDIMED retraction. This retraction of a large study from a prestigious scientific journal has really rocked the food and health community, and it's important to understand why it happened and what we can learn from it.The other big exciting news this month is in regard to all those food trends! A few years ago, I had never heard of poke bowls, but now they're everywhere (and so delicious). It was really fun to explore the vegetarian version whipped up in one of this month's recipes. In fact, both of this month's recipes would be great for cooking demos because they're straightforward and use lots of fruits and veggies -- especially ones from farmer's markets.Poke bowls aren't the only trend we're exploring this month. Whether it's Lynn Grieger's recipe and analysis of golden milk or her fascinating piece on kombucha, it's time to take a closer look at the new beverages to hit the food scene. Are they healthful? Should they be incorporated into an eating pattern? If so, why... and how? The articles we've got on tap answer all those questions and more! And no discussion of trends would be complete without a closer look at the apps that are heating up the food delivery scene. Lisa Andrews's article could not have come at a more perfect time!As a final note for this month, I want to share the newest deal that we have for you.
