Course Overview:

4 hours continuing professional education credit for RDs and DTRs from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ (formerly the American Dietetic Association) Committee on Dietetic Registration.

Course Objectives:

  1. Explain why coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PCTA) do not address the fundamental causes of coronary artery disease.
  2. Explain why chelation therapy should be considered health fraud.
  3. Explain why a very low fat, near vegetarian diet is a viable therapeutic alternative to CABG and PCTA for the majority of people who undergo them in the U.S. each year.
