Salmon With Everything Bagel Spice

Serves 4 | Serving Size: 1 fillet
Total Time: 23 min | Prep: 3 min | Cook: 20 min
This dish provides a delicious new way to serve baked salmon using an old favorite spice from bagel bakers.
Ingredients:

1/2 tsp sesame seeds
1/2 tsp poppy seeds
1/2 tsp dried minced onion
1/4 garlic powder
4 3-ounce salmon fillets
Directions:
Toast the sesame seeds in a dry, nonstick skillet over medium heat for about a minute. Add the rest of the seasonings and remove from heat. Toss together and allow to cool. Store in a covered jar until ready to use.

Press the seasoning on the salmon fillets. Place the salmon in a baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes at 400F.

Serve salmon hot. Optional: vegetables and potatoes to go with the salmon.
Chef's Tips:
Make a larger batch of this seasoning with these amounts:
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
2 teaspoons dried minced garlic

This seasoning goes great on flat bread, pita pockets, and grilled fish or chicken.
