

We've got another edition of food trivia for you today, and we're shifting gears a little. Now that we've talked about fun fall fruits like apples, persimmons, and figs, it's time to take a look at some amazing fall vegetables.
We'll begin with kale, a hardy green whose season can last into the winter.
Fun Fact #1: Kale is a member of the cabbage family, which means that it's related to Brussels sprouts, broccoli, collard greens, cauliflower, and even kohlrabi!
Fun Fact #2: Kale can survive several frosts. In fact, cold growing temperatures can make kale taste sweeter.
Fun Fact #3: Kale is rich in calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin C.
