Chocolate Truffles
Dried Plum "Chocolate" Truffles
This is a great dessert recipe for a large get-together or for your next dessert.
- food processor
- mixing bowl
- kitchen spoon
- ice cream scooop
- 1 cup pitted prunes
- 1/4 cup pitted whole dates
- 1 tablespoon chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1-1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tablespoon powdered sugar
- In the work bowl of a food processor fitted with a metal blade, combine prunes, dates, pecans, and orange zest. Process until finely chopped. Shape mixture into small balls. Roll in cocoa/sugar mixture to coat.
- Store airtight for up to 2 weeks.
- Makes 24 truffles.
We recommend serving these with coffee or tea as an after-dinner treat.
